Mrs. Barbara Jean Fergerson Johnson, age 77, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
She was born in Warsaw, MO, on November 9, 1946 to Homer and Marie Fergerson and was the second youngest of nine children. Barbara was a graduate from Warsaw High School in 1964 and then became a bank teller in Kansas City, MO.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, KC Chiefs Football, KC Royals, Atlanta Braves Baseball and the great outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Barbara was also an avid bird watcher and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Johnson (Tara Parker) of Huntsville, AL, and Christy Johnson Blevins (Randy) of Johnson City, TN; son, Deron Johnson (Brooke) of Big Timber, MT; grandchildren, Mitchel Johnson (Lusandra), Selene Johnson, Paige Johnson, David Osen, and Tatum Osen Johnson; great-grandchildren, Luna and Everett; brothers, Art Fergerson and Jim Fergerson; sisters, Percilla Fergerson and Donna Fergerson Antwiler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob Fergerson and Bill Fergerson; sisters, Wanda Fergerson and Charlotte Fergerson Cornwell.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Crestwood Medical Center SICU for the loving care they provided for Barbara.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11 am at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, MO., under the direction of Danny Fergerson.
