Zackery Ryan Edgington of Clinton, MO was arrested on 12/19/22 on a Benton County Warrant for receiving stolen property. Subject is being held in the Benton County Detention Center with no bond.
 
Troy Clifford Wilson of Edwards, MO was arrested on 12/19/22 on a Lafayette County Warrant for obstructing police. Bond was set at $2,500 cash or surety. Subject posted bond and was given a court date.
 

MSHP: Bring In The New Year Safely

Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, encourages everyone to make good decisions regarding their New Year’s celebration. No one wants to start 2023 with a traffic crash or DWI arrest. During the 2022 New Year’s period, one person was killed and 331 injured in 1,045 traffic crashes in Missouri.
 
The 2023 New Year’s holiday counting period begins at 6 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023.
 

MSHP Talks Show-Me Zero Fatality Reduction Effort

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri Department of Transportation are tag-teaming on a special education and enforcement campaign which is aimed at reducing fatalities on Missouri’s highways. The Show-Me Zero Fatality Reduction Effort began in April and it focuses on drivers who are impaired, distracted, speeding, and not wearing seat belts.
 

MSHP Reports Three Traffic Fatalities Over Christmas Holiday Weekend; No Drownings Or Boating Fatalities

Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, provides the following preliminary statistics related to the Christmas holiday weekend:
 
Three people died in traffic crashes during the 78-hour counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022, and ended at 11:59 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2022.

MDC Offers Free Native Winter Seed Sowing Class In Warsaw

Class at Lost Valley Fish Hatchery will teach winter native plant seedling growing methods
 
Start the new year knowing you’ll have native plant seedlings to add to flower beds when spring arrives. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer a free Winter Seed Sowing class from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Lost Valley Fish Hatchery in Warsaw.

Blake A Lindsey of Osceola, MO was arrested on 12/12/22 for stealing.  Bond was set at $500.00 cash or surety.  Subject was released with time served and given a court date.
 
Kimberly SR Flippin of Warsaw, MO was arrested on 12/12/22 on a Benton County warrant for possession of controlled substance and fail to register motor vehicle.  Bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.  Subject posted bond and was given a court date.

Missouri State Highway Patrol employees wish everyone a merry and safe Christmas. One way for it to be merry is for everyone to arrive at their holiday celebrations safely. Remember to wear your seat belt, obey all traffic laws, pay attention, and please, don’t drink and drive.

Driver Examination Stations To Close Statewide For Upcoming Holidays

The Missouri State Highway Patrol would like to remind the public that driver examination stations throughout the state will be closed on the following dates:
 
Monday, December 26, 2022, in observance of Christmas. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
 
Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of New Year’s Day. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Kimberly Rene Flippin of Warsaw, MO was sentenced to an Order of Commit on 12/06/22 for trafficking drugs – 2nd degree. Subject was released for time served.
