I sent Molly Strozewski some interview questions through her mother, Jill Strozewski recently. We have always found that readers like to know what these kids are doing throughout the summer months.
 
JL-How long have you lived in Lincoln?
Molly-We moved here in 2017.
 
JL-When did you start pitching ?
Molly-I pitched a little as a 4th grader but started in games my 5th grade year. 
 

Benton County Basketball Teams Mix It Up During Summer Scrimmages

Cole Camp, Lincoln and Warsaw's boys basketball squads have been scrimmaging at Warsaw High School for the past several summers. This past week, Lincoln coach Tyler Burke decided to switch things up a bit.
 
Instead of playing team against team, coaches from Warsaw, Lincoln and Cole Camp randomly selected players forming six teams playing in Warsaw's  two gyms from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon. 
 

Ladycats' Brewster, Howe And Lady Bluebirds' Burke, Harms Make All-State Teams

Warsaw sophomore pitcher Brylee Brewster was a 1st team selection and her freshman battery mate, Tanna Howe found her name on the 2nd team list on the 2023 Spring Class 2 All-State rosters when they were released last week.  
 
Cole Camp landed two seniors on the 2nd team in infielder Emily Burke and outfielder Kyla Harms.
 
Below is the Class 2 All-State softball team as voted on by the coaches and released last week.

The 2023 senior class  at Lincoln captured a previously unprecedented achievement in school history this past school year as they won their district championships in football, basketball and baseball.
 
Nothing was easy as they battled through injuries, setbacks and various disappointments.
 
Kyle Eckhoff lost his father in his freshman year on a Thursday, played football against Tipton on the road on Friday and caught a touchdown pass.
