With her two older brothers and her two cousins receiving most of the athletic attention, Averi Kroenke’s time to shine is here and she may outshine them all. The little girl from Lincoln moved to up to attend  Rock Bridge high school in Columbia, Missouri, last year for her freshman year and if she wasn’t noticed before, she is now.
Her team made it to the state quarterfinals last season.
Well, she has already received scholarship offers from four D-1 programs, Missouri St, Wichita, St., Drake and Missouri and more are probably on the way.
She is playing for Nike with the Missouri Phenom and made the Olympic tryouts in Colorado Springs.
The 5’10 guard comes from humble beginnings in Lincoln. However, in this day and age there are few secrets and her ability on the basketball court became the talk of the area and now almost everyone involved in basketball knows who she is and how good she really is and how good she could become.
The BCE did a story on her as an eighth grader and was very impressed. She would score 20 or more points in the first half in several games before taking a seat in the second half.
The little girl who would walk the hallways at Lincoln grade school has grown up and the basketball world knows her name. We wish her the very best.
