Benton County Rodeo Brought Bulls, Broncs And Big Time Fun

Rodeo fans filled the arena for the Twenty-eighth Annual Benton County Rodeo on July 12 and 13.
Trinity Dennis was crowned Lil Miss Benton County Rodeo on Saturday night.  Ambri Simons was crowned Benton County Rodeo Princess and Shaina Roskamp was crowned as the Benton County Rodeo Queen.
According to Rodeo volunteer Erin Kellner, both nights of the rodeo had great attendance but on Saturday night it was standing room only.
In Steer Wrestling the winner was Colton Leech came in first with a time of 4.5 and winnings of $282.  Connor Gentry came in second with a time of 6.5 and winnings of $188.
In Girls’ Barrel racing, Demi Hull won first place with a time of 16.247 and winnings of $408.90.  Tammy Watson came in second with a time of 16.497 and winnings of $340.75.  Third place went to Clara Morris with a time of 16.645 and $272.60.  Sydney Cutting took fourth place and a prize of $204.45.  Fifth place went to Tiffany Newton with a time of 16.878 and a prize of $136.30.
In Team Roping, Jonathan Irby and Sam Kueffer won first place with a time of 6.3 and a prize of $752.  Second place went to Colton Jennings and Wyatt Miller with a time of 7.4 and a prize of $564 each. Third place went to Charlie Baker and Jordan Reynolds with a time of 10.5 and a prize of 376 each.  Fourth place went to Colby Fletcher and Chad Kimbrough with a time of 11.1 and a prize of $188 each.
In Breakaway Roping, Anna Bagshaw took first place with a time of 2.2 and a prize of $452.20.  Second place went to Newt Howe with a time of 3.4 and a prize of $338.40. Third place went to Sherri Gentry with a time of 3.9 and a prize of $225.60.  Fourth place went to Jordan Held with a time of 5.8 and a prize of $112.80.
In Bareback Riding, Maverick Griffin won first place with a time of 79 and a prize of $404.20.
In Bull Riding, Bob Mitchell had a time of 81 and a prize of $686.20.
In Calf Roping, Wade Perry took first place with a time of 10.1 and a prize of $446.50.  Second place went to Casey Hinson with a time of 10.2 and a prize of $267.90.  Third place went to Wenten Reiter with a time of 10.3 and a prize of $178.60.
In Over 40 Calf Roping, Gary Elam took first place with a time of 11.7 and a prize of $329.  Second place went to Gregg Ash with a time of 11.9 and a prize of $197.40. Third place went to Greg Gentry with a time of 12.4 and a prize of $131.60.
