Billie I.
Proctor
Billie Ira Proctor, 76, passed away on February 9, 2018, under Hospice care at his home in Winterhaven Park, Brownsville, Texas.  He was born January 12, 1942, in Vancouver, Washington, the third son of Birchie and Carrie (Nease) Proctor.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of Warsaw High School and served eight years in the Army National Guard, seeing active duty during the Berlin Crisis.  His love for people carried through during his career in sales and later as he retired from the custodial staff at Dayton Intermediate School, Dayton, Nevada.  As his eyesight failed, he reluctantly gave us his passion for cars and his beloved Triumph motorcycle.
He lived in the Warsaw area for many years before moving to Nevada in 1993.  However, in 2016, Brownsville, Texas beckoned with its palm trees and warm temperatures.  It was here that he joined the Winterhaven Chapel and still managed to drive his golf cart and meet new friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shirley, of the home, one son, William Cory (Megan) of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, one daughter, Carissa of Richmond, Virginia, step-daughter, Holly (Brian) Cornelius of Overland Park, Kansas, step-daughter, Jacalyn (Sam) Smith of Goshen, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Abagail and Alexandria Proctor, Ainsley Cornelius, and Preston and Colton Smith, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 20, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw, Missouri.  Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Benton County Hospice in his memory in care of Reser Funeral Home, PO Box 910, Warsaw, MO 65355.
