Jared Gavin Friar
Jared Gavin Friar, age 39, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 22, 1980 in Clinton, Missouri to Garry and Sherry Friar. He grew up in Warsaw, Missouri and graduated from the Warsaw High School, Class of 1999.
Following high school he moved to Springfield, Missouri where he was employed as a certified trainer. He later moved back to Warsaw and worked in construction before being employed for Sierra Bullets in Sedalia, Missouri where he held a record for the most bullets produced in a single shift.
He loved the outdoors and was an exceptional hunter and decorated archer. He also became an avid guitarist. Jared would usually be seen driving his beloved black Chevy Camaro and truck around town.
Jared was preceded in death by his father, Gary Friar, in 2008, his Grandmothers, Mary Friar and Audrey East, grandfathers, Quentin Friar and Wyatt East, one uncle, Mickey East as well as other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Sherry Friar, of Warsaw, one sister, Alisha, and her fiance, Jason, of Cole Camp, his nieces and nephews, Rakaylah, Eastynn Wyatt, DaVeigha and Jay Jr., his fiance, Amy Kellner and her children and grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Jared struggled with mental illness since he was a child, outwardly he appeared jovial and unaffected with a smile on his face usually followed by his quick wit and sarcastic humor. Following the death of his father, he tried every medication he could. His body succumbed to his illness and now he is at peace which we all find comfort in knowing Jared is free, happy and reunited with his father.
A visitation was held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Graveside services and interment followed at the Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw with Rev.
