In what was a sad announcement for Lincoln fans, but a great addition for Clinton high school, Kevin LaFavor has accepted the Head Football Coaching job with Clinton High School. He will finish out the school year at Lincoln.
Coach LaFavor has spent the last three seasons at Lincoln, two as head coach. He has achieved a 27-3 record and two amazing state runner-up finishes.
LaFavor is returning home as he grew up as a Clinton Cardinal. He was an All-Conference and All- District football player. His wife, Emily, is also a Clinton High School graduate.
Coach LaFavor commented, “I’m excited to be taking over at Clinton. It is a chance to coach at a larger level. I will always cherish my time at Lincoln, it has been a tremendous ride and it was one of the toughest decisions of my career to leave this school district. I have made many memories in Lincoln and have created a lot of life long friendships.”
Coach LaFavor is a very laid back, approachable, down to earth, person. He worked well with his players and with the news media. He will be missed.
