The ever motivated Lincoln Cardinals started their season with a 41-8 road victory over Rich Hill. The ever smiling Bo Kroenke, who has stepped into the quarterback role with the injury to Jackson Beaman, showed off his arm with three TDs. Two were to Nate Hesse and one was to the fleet footed Landon Bond. Kroenke was 9-13 for 161 yards in the air and 5-57 on the ground.
Sophomore kicker Devon Parrott had a 44 yard field goal to show off his leg. He hit one for 48 earlier this summer in practice. He will be a huge weapon somewhere down the road in a close game.
Gage Kahler rushed for two TD’s and was 12-78 overall. Tanner Bays, the big scrappy junior went 3-40 and Levi Betts was 4-20 Betts also mopped up at QB and was 1-4 in the air.
P. Engles led the team with 12 tackles.
Lincoln will host Concordia next week.
