Schepker Represented WHS At State Track

Warsaw Sophomore Kya Schepker finished 9th with a (34’ 2.5”) in the triple jump, just 1/2 inch from 8th place and a medal at the state track meet on Saturday, May 26 in Jefferson City. 
At 9:30 in the morning, Schepker squared off against the best in the state of Missouri but came up just inches short of a medal.
She took 8th place on her last jump with that 34’ 2.5” only to fall back to 9th when the next girl jumped a 34’ 3” on her last jump to take back 8th place. 
Schepker qualified for state at the sectionals in Odessa Mo. on May 19. She finished forth in the triple jump with (34’8.25)
Also, at Odessa last week, Senior Dallas Larsen broke a school record coming in fifth, just missing the cut in the 3200m with a time of 10:08.30. He also came in sixth in the 1600M with a time of 4.40.80 thus ending a standout track career at WHS.
The girls 4x100 relay team of  Rayni Simons, Kya Schepker, Aubrie McRoberts and Haven Collins came in eighth at 53.28.
