School Bells Ring Once Again In Benton County

As Benton County students prepare for the new school year, teachers new to the three school districts are preparing as well. 
An orientation for new teachers in the Warsaw R-9 District was held on August 7 at the CLC.
New teachers include: Nick Kern, North fourth and fifth grade science; Haleigh Burnham, North first grade; Donna Loftis, North fourth and fifth reading/spelling; Brittany Cout, North special education; Branna McCloud, South fourth and fifth reading; Eini Harris, South, kindergarten – fifth special education; Taylor Riffle, Ruth Mercer Elementary ECSE; Annette Vogel, RME ECSE; Hannah Meyer, John Boise Middle School math; Johnny Eierman, WHS PE/ISS; Elizabeth Beck, WHS special education; Kristin Rode, WHS/JBMS band; Holly Howerton, WHS English; Whitney Hamilton, WHS English; Daniel Waller, WHS science; Bobbi Swisher, WHS special education; Justin Thomas, WHS science; Cody Wright, WHS assistant principal.
Warsaw teachers will report back to school on August 8 while students will return to classes on August 14.   Middle School and high school students will start their classes at 8 AM and classes will be dismissed at 3:31.  Elementary students will begin classes at 8:05 AM and will be dismissed at 3:36.  Bus routes will remain the same but will be running 10 minutes earlier due to the earlier class time.
The Warsaw R-9 School District will continue to offer free breakfast and lunches to all students.  However, the Warsaw Board voted at their July meeting to charge faculty and staff $2.45 for breakfast and $3.65 for lunch.

The Cole Camp R-1 School District have announced the following new faculty members for the 2018-19 school year:  Trish Schnakenberg, high school science; Carolos Gumucio, high school Spanish; Caitlyn Weavers, second grade; Hilary Weber, third grade; Mindy Lutjen, fifth and sixth grade English; Ryan Crawford, seventh and eighth grade history; Melissa Lewis, middle school special services.
The Cole Camp faculty will report back to school on August 13 while students will report to classes on August 20.  Classes begin each day at 8:15 and dismiss at 3:15.
Meals for elementary students are $1.20 for breakfast and $2 for lunch.  Middle school and high school students will pay $1.20 for breakfast and $2.20 for lunch.  Faculty members will pay $1.20 for breakfast and $2.81 for lunch.

 New teachers for the Lincoln R-2 School District include:  Brandi Maddux, agriculture; Derek Riggs, industrial arts; Derek Norton, art; Shawn Rhoades, fourth grade; Shelby Williams, fourth grade; Parker Rowe, fifth grade; Renae Denny, elementary special education; Katie Norton, elementary special education para; Onna Keuper, elementary special education para.
Faculty members will return to school on August 13 while students will begin August 16.  Class will begin at 8:15 AM and dismiss at 3 PM.
Meals for elementary students are $1.15 for breakfast and $2.15 for lunch.  High School students will pay $1.30 for breakfast and $2.35 for lunch.  Faculty members will pay $1.60 for breakfast and $3.00 for lunch.
