Warsaw Volleyball Girls Struggle

It is certainly not from a lack of effort but the WHS Volley girls are 0-2 after losing in straight sets to Sherwood at home last Thursday night.
They lost 25-23 in the opening contest. Sherwood  led 9-8 and never trailed although the Lady Cats pulled it to 22-22 but couldn’t overtake a taller and well coached Sherwood team.
They lost the second match 25-12. The JV also lost in two sets.
Jessie Glenn had 5 kills, 4 assist, 1 block,Kamryn Yach had 2 kills,1 block.Mady Gardner had 1 kill, 1 block,Brooke Spry had 1 kill, 3 assists, Ari Johnson had 2 blocks.
Head Coach Shelly Hodges commented, “The Lady Wildcats played much better tonight. We passed better and played much better defense as well. I was proud of the girls tonight because when we got down a few points we pulled together as a volleyball family team and just tried harder!!”
The Volley Cats traveled to Buffalo earlier in the week and lost 13-25 in both contests. The JV also lost 9-25 and 11-25.
