Watson Takes First In Sedalia

Bradley Watson trotted across the finish line with a stellar time of just 8:17 and that was good for a first place finish, overall in the middle school division of Saturday’s cross country event run at Clover Dell Park in Sedalia.  
Watson’s finish was ahead of 24 other middle school runners, including teammates: Jaxson Deckard (10:31/14th), Elijah Long (10:57/15th), Henry Breshears (11:24/18th), Malachi Kellner (11:27/19th), Christian Culbertson (13:21/21st), Kaleb Kellner (13:22/22nd) and Brayden Henderson (13:54/24th).  
On the girl’s side of the middle school division, Emma Binnie recorded a time of 16:16 (14th) and Eliana Jensen finished with a time of 17:21 (16th).  
Madison Lawrence did not participate. 
In the high school event held on the same course in Sedalia, Warsaw’s Alyssa Alcantara (5th) and Natalie Johnson (13th) both medaled with respective times of 22:05 and 24:39 in the girl’s division.  Sixteen runners competed in the girl’s division. 
In the boy’s division, George Montez placed 7th overall with a time of 18:21.  Calvin Long also finished the meet in 24:39 (45th).  There were 54 runners in the division. 
Megan Martinez, Benton Breshears, Trey Palmer and Logan Schockmann were all unavailable to run for the Wildcats on the varsity level.  
The Wildcats next scheduled trip will be to Stockton on Tuesday, September 22.
