Hugh E. Wilson, age 92, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home near Cole Camp, MO. He was born on April 30, 1925, near Leeton, MO, on his grandfather’s farm, the oldest of three children born to Willie B. and Ruby M. (Epperson) Wilson.
He was a 1942 graduate of Norris High School in rural Henry County where he played both baseball and outdoor court basketball with the Norris Neons.

Georgia Mae Remley

Georgia Mae Remley, age 87, passed away Friday evening, February 2, 2018, at her home in Cross Timbers, MO. She was born on August 16, 1930, in Hastian, MO, the daughter of Pearl and Lawrence Garrison.
She grew up in Lincoln, MO and graduated from Lincoln High School. On July 15, 1975, she was united in marriage to John B. Remley in Lincoln, MO. They made their home in Lincoln and later moved to Berryville, Arkansas and finally moving to Cross Timbers in 1991.

Earl S. “Sam” Lutjen, Jr., age 57, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri.  He was born on July 27, 1960 in Sedalia, Missouri the son of Earl Samuel Lutjen, Sr. and Shirley (Thomas) Lutjen.

Richard Wade Land

Richard Wade Land, age 74, of Warsaw, MO, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He was the oldest child born to Richard Lee and Wanda Lee (Chitwood) Land on July 19, 1943 in Dyer, Arkansas.
The family moved to Raytown, MO where Wade graduated from Raytown High School. On June, 26, 1961, he enlisted into the United States Navy, serving during Vietnam on the USS Kitty Hawk. He was honorably discharged on June 25, 1967.

Janis Arnett

Janis Arnett, age 72, of Warsaw, MO, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home. She was born on May 30, 1945, in Kennett, MO, the daughter of Homer Sidney and Dixie Knotts Lowe.
Janis was a security worker for Hallmark Distribution Center in Liberty, MO, retiring after 30 years of service. In the early 2000’s, Janis moved to her home in Warsaw.
She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Warsaw and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Arnold L. Hessefort, age 79, of Lincoln, MO, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He was born in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, on May 1, 1938, the son of the late Anthony B. and O. Pauline (Vaughan) Hessefort.
At a very young age his family moved to Missouri and Arnold graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1956. While in high school, Arnold was on the high school basketball team.

Betty Jean Barnes

Betty Jean Barnes, age 90, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, Missouri.  She was born on July 9, 1927 in Benton County, Missouri the daughter of Henry and Barbara (Knox) Roberts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and two brothers
Betty is survived by her son Roger Barnes, and his wife Sue, of Warsaw, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Larry W. Newsom, age 66, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on November 19, 1951 in Pryor, Oklahoma the son of George Layton and Belva (Petersen) Newsom.

Anna Jean McMurtry

Anna Jean McMurtry, age 85, of Warsaw, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Sedalia, MO. She was born on October 18, 1932, in Low Gap, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas Louis Alvin and Marion Cleo (Villines) Kilgore.
As a young girl she moved with her family to Kansas City, MO. It was there that she was united in marriage to Robert E. McMurtry, Sr. They made their home in the Kansas City area. Unto this union, five children were born.
