Big Fourth Quarter Leads Cole Camp By Concordia

Cole Camp traveled to Concordia on Tuesday night and blew out Concordia with a huge forth quarter 65-42.
 
It was close early as Cole Camp lead 12-9 after one and 27-21 at the half.
 
The Bluebird's size would collect 40 points in the paint on the night. They led 40-33 after three.
 

Lincoln Rolls Past LaMonte To Stay Undefeated

The LaMonte Vikings, coached by Scott Floyd, former coach of Warsaw, with just one win on the season, lost to the undefeated Lincoln Cardinals on the road 61-30 last Tuesday night.
 
However, LaMonte who lost to Cole Camp 52-6 a couple of weeks ago looked improved and have an upcoming star in junior Tyler Weber. Weber sat out most of the Cole Camp contest.
 
Weber scored 12 points and blocked several shots against the Cardinals, who struggled early but quickly found their game and took LaMonte to task.

Lincoln's Kyle Eckhoff, who scored his 1,000 point of his career, hit a three at the 1:27 mark in the fourth quarter to put Lincoln ahead for the first time in the game at 35-34. Connor Lynde would go 5-6 from the line to score Lincoln's final five points of the game in a thrilling 40-34 come from behind victory at home on Friday night.
 
The packed homecoming crowd saw Lincoln dig a hole for themselves in the first quarter, falling behind 16-8 after one.
 

Wildcats Leave Skyline Tourney Empty-Handed

They came and they saw, but that was about it as both Warsaw basketball squads competed but came home empty-handed from the annual tournament in Skyline in last week.
 
The girls began play last Saturday and left with a lopsided opoening round loss to a very potent Fair Grove squad, 70-13.
 
Fair Grove scored 31 in the opening period and never looked back.
 
Ashlyn Laue hit two 3-point shots to lead the Ladycats with 6 points.

Wildcats Pin Their Way To Win Over Eldo In Assembly Dual

The atmosphere was nearly as electric as the competition last Thursday when the Wildcats hosted Eldorado Springs for an assembly dual, winning the contest by a score of 45-36.
 
Hudson Karr picked up a win for Warsaw with a pin of his opponent, Randy Baker in the 156 pound weight class.
 
The Wildcats' Nick Bagley, ranked number three in the state of Missouri in Class 1 at 150, also grabbed a win for Warsaw by Major Decision over Maverick Mitchell.  
 

Wildcats Hoops Swept At Butler

The Ladycats gave up 16 unanswered points to start the game and could never recover in a 57-39 Ozark Highlands Conference loss on the road at Butler last Tuesday night.
 
Butler led 22-7 at the end of the first, but Warsaw came up with a little run in the sceond period to only trail 30-20 at halftime.  
 
The third quarter belonged to the Lady Bears with a 20-11 scoring margin and they held on to cruise to a 57-39 victory.  
 

Warsaw Offensive Struggles Continue At Lebanon

The Warsaw offense failed to have a single player reach double digits in their second consecutive game as they dropped another game on Thursday night, this time to the Yellowjackets of Lebanon.
 
The Wildcats trailed 7-2 at the end of the first and 25-11 at the break.  
 
Lebanon used a 19-9 advantage in the third to extend their lead to 44-20 and a 16-5 advantage for the Yellowjackets in the fourth led to another dimal night on the hardwood for the Wildcats as they lost, 61-23.
 

Big First Quarter Leads Lincoln Past Lady Cougars

The Lincoln girls traveled to Climax Springs back on December 30 and brought home a sweet victory over the Lady Cougars, 45-39 to finish off the year on a winning note.
 
Lincoln jumped out to a 14-1 first quarter lead and led 20-8 at halftime.
 
It was 32-23 after three and Climax Springs made a fourth quarter charge but Lincoln held on for the win.
 
Lincoln sophomore Alyssa Mellen led with 17 and senior Gracyn Eifert had 14. 
 

Lincoln Handles Winless Skyline

The nightmare season continued for Skyline as they fell to 0-9 losing at home to Lincoln 51-24 on Tuesday night. Just two seasons ago Skyline played for a state championship. 
 
Skyline is rich with boy's basketball history. Skyline legends like Jackie Payne and Tim West come to mind. Recently, it was the Beem brothers who led the way.
 
Skyline coach Tommy Egan said earlier this season, "We had a good run. Now we are in a rebuilding mode."
 

Cardinals Dominate Smithton To Remain Unbeaten

The Lincoln Cardinals traveled to Smithton on Friday and defeated the host school 56-27. Mack Hesse opened the game with a one-handed dunk and led Lincoln with 15 points.
 
It was 20-9 after one, 28-14 at halftime and Lincoln led 48-21 after three. The second string played out the last half of the contest for the Cardinals. 
 
Lincoln also won the junior varsity game on a buzzer beater when Chase Young banked in a 10 foot shot to give the Cardinals the 36-34 win..
