Boyer, Campbell Still Making Memories

It probably wouldn’t be difficult to get Ryan Boyer or Harrison Campbell to sit down and tell football stories.  They have plenty.  But after this Friday night, they will have a new one to add to their lore as the former Wildcats, 2004 WHS graduates and lifelong best friends will face off in the first round of the Class 2 District 7 MSHSAA football playoffs.
Boyer’s Wildcats (3-2) will host Campbell’s Lone Jack Mules (0-7) this Friday night in the first known meeting of former WHS players turned head coaches in any sport.  

Lincoln Wins Defensive Struggle Over Wellington-Napoleon

The first cool night of the fall saw Lincoln travel to Wellington-Napoleon last Friday and come away with an hard earned 14-7 victory.

Lincoln Middle School Beats Russellville

Lincoln Middle School defeated Russellville 36-0 on Monday night in Lincoln.
Ben Eckhoff scored up the middle from the three at 6:16. Dawson Parrott scored  the PAT to make it 8-0 .
Anthony Srade would score and Riley Sanders would hit Camden Everhart for the PAT. It was 16-0 with 2:45 to go in first quarter.
Lincoln recovered a fumble on the kickoff and Everhart rambled in from the 15 and it was 22-0. Dawson scored the PAT and it was 24-0.

It was another clean sweep for the John Boise Middle School football Wildcats as they traveled to Buffalo last Tuesday and both teams came home with big wins by eerily similar, yet convincing final scores.

Cole Camp Edges Tipton In Football Action

With their first home game of the season because of field construction ,the Cole Camp Bluebirds won a defensive struggle over Tipton 13-12 in a dandy. Ethan Corpening was everywhere on the field and had an outstanding game on both ends of the ball.
After a scoreless first period, Tipton netted a 44 yard pass play to draw first blood in the second frame.
Ethan Shearer came up with a big tackle preventing the two point conversion. It was 6-0 at halftime.

Spunaugle Leads Cardinals To Sweet Victory
Northwest came into Lincoln on Tuesday night with a  3-3 record and with five starting freshmen and a senior. It might also be noted that Karli Smith is among the better freshmen to step foot on Lincoln’s floor this year.
While the new rule of 3 of 5 in varsity play takes the teams and the fans late into the evening near 10:00 , it does provide all of the volleyball one would want in one night.

Another First
Bradley Watson was on top of his game again last Tuesday night as the Warsaw R-9 school district’s cross country teams made the trek to Stockton and he captured his second straight first place finish in the middle school division with a time of 10:10.  Watson was pushed nearing the end of the race, but held on to nip the next three runners who turned in times of 10:11, 10:13 and 10:25, respectively.  

Eierman’s Honored With MO Sports Hall Of Fame Diamond 9 Award

At the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame baseball and softball luncheon last Thursday and as part of the 2020 Hall of Fame induction class, Warsaw’s Johnny & Kelli (Wenberg) Eierman were both recognized with the Diamond 9 Award.  They are the first-ever married couple to be presented the award. 
The Diamond 9 Award, presented by B.J.’s Trophy Shop, was established to recognize individuals who exhibited outstanding talent or made significant contributions at the high school, collegiate, amateur or professional levels of baseball or softball. 

Cole Camp Girls Compete In Kaysinger Golf

The Kaysinger Conference Lady Golf teams played in a triangular exhibition match at Royal Oaks Golf Course at WAFB in Knob Noster on Thursday.
Cole Camp’s low score was Brooke Anderson with a 51, followed by Abbie Borgman with a 54, Riley Bright with 55, and Megan Acklin with a 68.
Green Ridge’s Ava Needy led the three members Tigers with a 52, Addie Berry scored a 56, and Ashlee Martin brought in a 66.
