Dorothea M. Beaman-Steely

Dorothea Mae Triboulet Beaman Steely, age 98, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at the Bothwell Regional Care Center in Sedalia, MO.  She was born on May 18, 1922, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of James S. and Bernice Smith Triboulet
Dot, as she was known by her family and friends grew up in Wichita.  It was at the Calvary Methodist Church in Wichita where she was united in marriage to Grover Beaman in 1942.  They made their home in Wichita where they would raise their family of two sons, Terry and Freddy.
In 1961, the family moved to the Kansas City area. While living in Independence, she joined the Sterling Acres Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member.  She not only taught Sunday school, but was the much-loved church librarian for over 15 years.   Later they moved to the Springfield-Branson area where her husband of over 50 years, Grover, died in 1992.
In October of 1996, she was united in marriage to Merle Steele who had been a missionary for 25 years in Africa.  They made their home in Branson and were active in the Branson Bible Church.  She and Merle both were volunteers at the hospital and were active in working with their blood drives.
Dot enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, traveling across the country, and watching the Royals and Chiefs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Grover C. Beaman, one son, Terry Beaman, a sister Donna Schulz, two brothers, James Triboulet and DeWayne Triboulet and a grandson-in-law Andrew Klinghammer along with many relatives and friends who have gone ahead of her. 
Surviving is her husband of 23 years, Merle Steely, of Sedalia, MO, a son Fred and wife, Sharon Beaman of Lincoln, MO, three grandchildren, Joe (Sarah) Beaman of Lincoln, MO,  Melinda Beaman Klinghammer of St. Louis, MO and Luke (LeeAnn) Beaman of Lincoln, MO.  Six great grandchildren, Samantha Klinghammer Smith (Robert), Ben Klinghammer, Lexi Beaman, Hayden Beaman, Jackson Beaman and Walker Beaman.  Five stepchildren, Allen (Marcia) Steely, Joyce Schmidt (Lee), Stanley (Amy) Steely, Marcia Steely Parrotte, and Barbara Steely Ford (James). 14 step-grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren and one step-great-great grandchild. a sister, June Morgan of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, two sister-in-law’s Helen Beaman of Lee’s Summit, MO and Helen Copeland of Augusta, KS and one brother-in-law Doug Schulz of Waurika, OK. 
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 14, 2021, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO, with the family receiving friends beginning at 9:00 A.M.  Burial will followed at Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, MO.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln High School Booster Club or the Lincoln High School Music Department in care of the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, P.O.
