Helen Ann Beyer

Helen Ann Beyer, age 72, of Fristoe, MO, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO.  She was born on April 20, 1945, in Fontana, KS, the daughter of the late Vern M. and Dorothy Mildred (Knight) Conklin.
Helen grew up in Osawatomie, KS and graduated from high school in 1963.  In June of that year, she began working for Ward’s Distribution Center where she was a supervisor.  In 1990, she left there and began working for Hallmark until 1997.  
On April 20, 2001, she was united in marriage to Darrell Beyer in Miami, OK.  They made their home on a farm in the Fristoe community.  
Helen was an avid garage sale goer, always looking for a bargain.  She loved flowers and gardening and spent many hours with Darrell feeding their cows.  She enjoyed all animals, especially her dog, Poochie.  Helen attended the Cowboy Church in Fristoe, and was also a board member of the Concord Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell, of the home, two step-sons, Duane Beyer of Fristoe, MO and Mike Beyer of Kansas City, MO, three step-grandsons, Steven, Michael J. and Cody Beyer, and one step-great-granddaughter Mackenzie.  Also surviving is her brother, John Conklin (Eloise) of Strong City, KS, two nieces and two nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitition for Helen Beyer was held from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 22, 2018, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.  Graveside services followed the visitation at Concord Cemetery, Fristoe, MO.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House in her memory.  Arrangements under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.
