Jack Andrews

Jack Andrews, age 72, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home.  He was born on August 24, 1948 in Wheatland, Missouri, the son of Harold George Andrews and Ora Marie (Foltz) Andrews. 
He grew up in Independence, Missouri and graduated from Truman High School.  He was drafted into the United States Army in 1968, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam War, where he received the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars.
On November 8, 1969.  He was united in marriage to Ella (Ellie) Waller.  They made their home in Colorado, moving to Independence where Jack was employed by Armco Steel and then as a Powerhouse Mechanic for Kansas City Power & Light.  On November 5, 2005 he retired after 34 years of employment with KCPL and moved to Warsaw. 
Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids.  He is a member and deacon of the Warsaw Assembly of God.  Jack cared about people and he was blessed with the ability to impact those around him.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Killbreth.
He is survived by his wife Ellie Andrews, of the home, three children; Amy Simpson, and her husband Douglas, of Oak Grove, Missouri, Shelley Courtney, and her husband Mike, of Holden, Missouri and Scott Andrews, and his wife Mary, of Bates City, Missouri, two brothers; Jim Andrews, and his wife Jean, of Warsaw, Missouri and John Andrews, and his wife Donetta, of Warsaw, two sisters, Janice Smith, and her husband Gary, of Independence, Missouri and Jody Fleming, and her husband Tim, of Warsaw, eight grandchildren; Shane and Josie Simpson, of Oak Grove, Missouri, Breanna Towler, and her husband Nick, of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Sadie Klotz, and her husband Zac, of Odessa, Missouri, Roman and Ella Courtney, of Holden, Missouri, Sasha Rushton, and her husband Nathan, of Oak Grove, Missouri and Lily Akins, of Bates City, Missouri, one great granddaughter, Raelynne, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at  later date.
