James Robert “Bob” Hare
James Robert “Bob” Hare, age 92, of Lincoln, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Warsaw Health and Rehab Care Center in Warsaw, MO.  He was born on February 2, 1928, in Lincoln, Missouri, the son of Leo and Opal (Carpenter) Hare.
Bob grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School.  On September 18, 1946, he enlisted into the United States Army, serving his country at the end of World War II.  Shortly following his discharge, Bob re-enlisted into the Army, receiving an honorable discharge on March 25, 1952.
On March, 27, 1948 he was united in marriage to Loretta M. Riecke in Sedalia, Missouri. They made their home in Sedalia, Joplin and later Springfield where Bob’s employment with Ozark Wholesale Beverage Company took him.  Following retirement in 1992, they moved to Lincoln, Missouri.
Bob was a member of the VFW Post #5925 of Lincoln and the American Legion Post #305 of Cole Camp.  He was very proud of his service and enjoyed his association with his fellow comrades.  He was also a member of the Christian Church of Lincoln.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Loretta, and three brothers, Charles, Kenneth and Mike Hare.
Surviving are two sons; Steven Hare (Sherry) of Wisconsin and Jim Hare of Battlefield, Missouri, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, a brother, David Hare (Shelley) of Warsaw, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Bob Hare will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.  Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Military rites and interment will be held at the Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, MO.  Memorials may be made to the VFW Post #5925 of Lincoln in care of Davis-Miller Funeral Home, PO Box 400, Lincoln MO 65338.  Arrangements under the direction of the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.
