Jason David West, 51, died on January 11, 2021 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar after a battle with Covid-19.
Jason was born on September 8, 1969 in Whittier, CA to Shirley Denice West. In 1976 he moved to the farm in Wheatland with his mother and grandparents, James and Betty West where he lived until his death.
Jason spent 20 years as a carpenter. He was a farm hand from his teenage years until 2018 and the neighborhood handyman.
Jason was well known for the love he had for his family, his strong work ethic and his fun-loving spirit. He enjoyed keeping busy, visiting with friends, listening to music, hunting, fishing and grilling ribs.
Jason is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna, his daughters Abigail, Miranda and Vivian, of the home, his son Luke, of the home, his brother Eric and wife Karen, Urbana, nephew Robert, Joplin, Uncle Ross and wife Rosie, CA and a host of friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Denice West, grandparents James and Betty West, sister-n-law Mary West, nieces Erica and Elizabeth West and his best friend Mike Bryan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Jason and Donna’s home in Wheatland on January 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
