Lincoln Ready For Grand Parade

The Twenty-sixth Annual Lincoln Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 9 starting at 11 AM.  This year’s Grand Marshals are Rowena and Jack Lietzke.  Rowena is a past Chamber of Commerce President and Jack is a former Mayor of Lincoln.  Both have served on the City Council for several years.  Coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts will be served at the Community Building before the parade from 10 AM until 11 AM.  Doughnuts provided by Casey’s.
Overall Float prizes will be awarded to first place, $100; second place, $75 and third place, $50. 
Bands will be judged separately and will receive a trophy.  For parade entry forms contact Fran Williams at 547-3911.
In addition to the Christmas Parade, a craft fair will be held after the parade at Lincoln R-2 Schools.  The price of a booth is $25.  Contact Lori Dunkin at 660-287-3000 for information.  There will be drawings for cash and other prizes at LHS.  Participants must be present to win.  The drawings will be every 30 minutes starting at noon.
The Benton County 4-H FFA Youth Fair Council will be hosting a free will donation chili/soup dinner in the school cafeteria starting after the parade.
The Lincoln Elementary Christmas Card winners will be announced at the craft show with the Grand Prize winner taking home $50.
Santa will be making an appearance starting at noon.  Treats for kids will be provided by Santa.
