In a chilly 37 degree night last Friday, the Lincoln Cardinals ran their unbeaten record to 10-0 with a 53-6 thrashing of Tipton. They will host Crest Ridge, who beat Windsor 40-28, this Friday.
Dominic (the Dominator) Simmons ran through a hole in the line on the right side created by Hayden Beaman for some 56 yards for the first TD at the 5:39 mark. With a low snap from center, Devon Parrott missed the extra point and it was 6-0 early on.
With Landon Bond putting on a defensive clinic in the defensive backfield, Derek Stephens scooped up a fumble and raced down the left sidelines for the56 yard scramble and the touchdown. It was now 12-0 after Parrott’s kick went wide right.
In the second quarter,  Quarterback Jackson Beaman hit Dominic Simmons up the middle and the Dominator raced to the house for the 18-0 lead at the 7:15 mark.
It wasn’t long before the Dominator would strike again. This time with an interception and a 25 yard run for the hat trick at 5:12 to make it 25-0 at the half.
Simmons would end the night 8-120 and one rushing TD, one Interception TD and 3-95 with one TD in the air.
Jackson Beaman was 97 yards passing with two TD’s.
Stephens ended his night with 9-109 and two TD’s. Gage Kahler had three tries for 55 yards and a TD. The always smiling Bo Kroenke had one catch for a TD. Simmons on defense was again the Dominator as he blocked a punt, had the interception and four tackles. Stephens had 11 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown. Beaman also had an interception for a nice TD. Kahler, who is probably the most under rated kid on  the team, had nine tackles on the evening.
Lincoln had beaten Tipton earlier in the season. Crest Ridge is 11-1. They average almost the exact same amount of points per game. Their only loss was 20-18 to Windsor, which they revenged last week. This could be a dandy and so if you can’t make the game then tune into BCETV with Ty Payne for all of the action this Friday night at 7:00 PM.
