Time for the Warsaw All School Reunion is quickly approaching.  Reservations for the reunion meal must be made in advance and are due by May 16, 2022.  The reunion will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Warsaw High School Gymnasium.  The gym will open at 4:00 for social hour.

Those just coming for the social hour will pay an entry fee of $2.00 per person.  This will allow time for visiting with fellow alumni.  Classes wanting to reserve a table for the meal should contact the Alumni Board so we can set up the tables accordingly.

Honored classes will be 1995/96/97 for 25th Anniversary, 1970,71,72 for 50th Anniversary, and 1945/46/47 for 75th Anniversary.  The WHS Alumni Association has been delving into information about the honored classes.  We found that the classes of 1945, 46, and 47 did not have yearbooks, but we checked with articles in the Benton County Guide newspaper archives to find information on them.  The class of 1945 commencement exercises were held at the Community Building with 40 graduates.  A sober note appeared on the commencement program in the announcement of an In Memoriam for Keith Herschel Garland, a former member of the class who gave his life for country April 14 in Germany.  Another member of the class awarded a diploma was David Jones, who was serving in the armed forces.

In 1946, top ranking scholastic honors went to Charmanie Wiest, Harbin Constance, Marjorie Rose Gillan, and Roy L. Freund.  The 23 seniors heard Dr. C.A. Phillips of Missouri University describe the future as a "world of untold possibilities."

The Warsaw School Carnival held at the Community Building on October 25, 1946 saw senior class members Earl Williams and Joan Singleton vying for the title of Carnival King and Queen.  The carnival included all grades of Warsaw students taking part from spook parade for elementary students to game booths for each class.

Each year the Warsaw Alumni Association gives two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors.  It is very important to continue these scholarships.  Donations can be made at any time for the scholarships through memorials, trusts, and wills.  Donations can be made to the Scholarship Fund by mailing a check to the Warsaw School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 1528, Warsaw, MO 65355.  All donations are greatly appreciated.

We hope to see a lot of Warsaw  Wildcat alumni on Saturday, June 11, 2022.  You can also enjoy Jubilee Day events before and after the reunion.
