Sandra Fairweather

Sandra (Cooke) Fairweather, age 68, passed away at her home January 11, 2021, after a battle with mestastic breast cancer.  She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 10, 1953, the fourth child to Roy T. Cooke, Sr. and Elsie (Gunther) Cooke.  She graduated from Skyline High School in Urbana, Missouri the Class of 1971 and went on to become a cosmetologist.  On January 31, 1975 she married John Fairweather, III.
Sandy worked as a cosmetologist until she began working at Unitog until their closing and then again at Elbeco until her retirement in December 2014.  Sandy had a love for animals since her family moved to a small farm near Cross Timbers when she was the age of one.  She had several horses and dogs during her lifetime and loved being outside with them.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Elsie Cooke, one brother Roy T. Cooke, Jr. and her two sisters, Cheryl Simmons and Betty Percival and sister-in-law, Kathy Cooke.  Sandy was an active member at Bethel Assembly of God in Hermitage.
Sandy is survived by her husband of almost 46 years and her two children, Jason Fairweather (Trine) of Fair Grove, Missouri and Sherri Hawley (James) of Edwards, Missouri; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Hawley (her fiancé Dakota) and Devin Hawley; her brother Don Cooke of Goodson, Missouri; sister-in-law, Diane Cooke and two brother-in-laws, Harold Simmons and John Percival; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at her church home.  Cremation under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri, at Sandy’s request.  Memorials can be made to the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Hermitage, Missouri in memory of Sandy Fairweather.
