Two people from Lincoln suffered moderate injuries after a two-vehicle collision just inside Pettis County on Saturday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 63-year old Pamela Swearingen was driving her SUV south on Highway 65 around 10:00 AM when a pickup truck driven by 23-year old Alexander Timoshchuk of Ionia attempted to turn onto the highway from Whiteman Road. Troopers say that Timoshchuk failed to yield to Swearingern’s vehicle, striking and totaling the SUV. His truck sustained extensive damage.
Both Swearingen and her passenger, 80-year old Richard Swearingen, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Timoshchuk had no reported injuries.

An Edwards man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday night in Benton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2009 Chevrolet, driven by 65-year old Donald J. Blankenshp, Jr., was on Route M and South Shore Drive around 8:45 PM when the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck two signs and a tree.
Blakenship suffered serious injuries and was flown to University Medical Center in Columbia by MU Air.
