Bertha J. Cooper, age 81, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Harrisonville, Missouri on Friday, July 17, 2026.

She was born on September 3, 1944, in Trenton, New Jersey, the daughter of Joseph Lewis and Dorothy (Donegan) Bozarth.

On January 16, 1960, Bertha was united in marriage to the love of her life, William "Bill" Cooper, Sr. Together they shared many years of marriage and were blessed with five children: Billy Cooper, Bertha Ann Cooper, Troy Cooper, Darlene Seaman, and Mary Gilpin. Bertha devoted her life to her family and found her greatest joy in being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family, and her love, strength, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Billy Cooper and his wife, Lori; Bertha Ann Cooper; Troy Cooper and his wife, Sheila; Darlene Seaman and her husband, Bill; and Mary Gilpin and her husband, Gary. She also leaves behind twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Bertha is further survived by two brothers, Larry Bozarth and John Metz; and five sisters, Mary Murray, Lillian Gardner, Anna Carl, Dottie McKenzie, and Diane Bozarth, along with many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lewis and Dorothy (Donegan) Bozarth; her husband, William B. Cooper, four brothers; and two sisters.
