Cardinals Rout Stover On Special Night

Junior Ben Eckhoff led Lincoln to victory on Friday night with 17 points in a 58-36 Cardinals' win over Stover. It was a night to remember as the Lincoln administration welcomed home the 1984 girl's Final Four basketball team and the boy's 1985 Final Four basketball team.

Lincoln trailed at the half 22-21 and whatever head coach Tyler Burke said in the halftime locker room chat must have worked as the Cardinals stormed out to a 25-2 third quarter margin to surge ahead, 46-27.

Riley Sanders had 4 three's and Eckhoff had ten in the paint in that frame alone. Xander Cole had a three to round out the 25 point attack. Once the arsenal of Sanders from outside and Eckhoof inside gets rolling, Lincoln is hard to stop as Stover found out in the third quarter.

It was 6-6 after one as both teams struggled scoring early on.

Lincoln moved to 11-2 on the season and Stover fell to 2-9.
