CCA recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of its first varsity basketball state championship team. CCA recognized the 2020 Lady Patriots who in its first season of varsity competition won the state bracket to Joplin, MO to complete an 18-5 season. The team was under the direction of Roger Bancroft, assisted by Suzette Hills and was led by team members Kylie Bateman, Jessica Steward, Hailey Scott, Violet Maki, Lydia Lanning, Molly Briggs, Mia Bagley, Audrey Higgins, Tayhlar Santana, and Priscilla Lanning.
