Calhoun Community Church
Welcome to the Good News from Calhoun Community Church. We are a multidenominational Congregation. Our church family gathers at 9:30 a.m. for pre- church food and fellowship. We use this special time for visiting one with another, welcoming guests as they arrive for Worship, and signing cards of encouragement for our card ministry. We rang the church bell at 9:45 to call our church families to worship at 10:00.
We extend our Sympathy to the family and friends of Bonnie Shifflet and Doug Cooper who passed into the arms of Jesus recently. Others on our prayer list are Sondra and Jackson Short, Rev. David and Linda Hanshaw, Chuck Marriott, Grayson Lowe, Jerry Reed and family, Donald Hill, Debbie and Floyd Joy, Patty’s mother Mary and Sister Cindy, Dalton Conner, Paul Diaz’s father, Millie Redding, Amber, Patrick, and Brecklynn Dittmer, La Dawn and Dave Burson. We pray for our military men and women and their families, as well as others in service jobs that we depend upon daily.
Joys to celebrate: Praise the Lord for much needed rain. Rev. Joe Hall and his congregation from Mt. Mariah church joined us today for a joint service. Carol Lane came this morning with a box of homemade cookies to share during our pre-church fellowship time. We thank her for her love. We were pleased to help Barbara and Tom Colwell celebrate their sihAnniversary by singing Happy Anniversary to them and wishes of many more. Bro.
