William E. Ratledge of Clinton is facing charges of invasion of privacy and child exploitation following the discovery of a hidden camera in a bathroom according to Henry County Court documents. The Investigation began when an individual found the camera and provided video evidence to law enforcement. The footage allegedly depicts various individuals, ranging in age from 11 to 44, being secretly recorded. Court documents state that officers executed a search warrant at the Ratledge residence, where they seized computers and digital storage devices as part of the investigation. Police allege that multiple videos recovered during the search corroborate the accounts provided by the victims.
Ratledge has denied any knowledge of the recordings and plead not guilty during an initial court appearance. A $1 million bond was set in the case. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for January 28 at the Henry County Courthouse.
