Deep in the heart of Clinton is a brave woman by the name of Connie Connor. Connie is a local teacher battling cancer. This battle began August 5, 2024.
In Connie‘s exact words, she said the day she received the diagnosis felt like, “D-Day, that the troops were storming the beach. I had a battle on my plate that I didn’t intend to have.” She further noted that her community and her students are what has been helping her get through this difficult and challenging time.
This amazing woman has been educating young minds for the last 28 years, dedicating her time and knowledge to each new generation of students. One of these students is on a mission to help raise money to aid Connor in continuing this fight, a lovely young lady by the name of Embree Campbell (accompanied by her grandmother Stacey Ordal); they are organizing a fundraiser to allow the community to join this amazing cause.
We are asking you to run, not walk to this fundraiser on January 30 starting at 6 PM. The event will be held at Clinton middle school. Entry is a six dollar donation. Upon arrival and donation, attendees with be greeted with a variety of soups, dessert, and a drink. It doesn’t get better than that folks!
Furthermore, a silent auction will also be held, as well as a pie auction starting at 7pm. If you would like to show your dedication to helping Connie in her fight with cancer you can also purchase a T-shirt at csquaredclinton.com. Simply select your chosen products at the drop-down menu and view the range of options.
If you would like to donate something to the silent auction or the pie auction, Stacey will be at the school at 2pm on the 30th in order to collect items.
