Darlene Lois (Kuhl) Trautman, 91, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025.

Darlene was born on July 7, 1933, on her parents’ farm near Wausa, Nebraska to Max and Hilda Kuhl. She had three brothers, Wilfred, Marvin, and Eldon. The family later moved to a farm north of Randolph, Nebraska. Growing up on the farm shaped her strong work ethic and deep love for family.

On November 14, 1950, she married Norman Trautman, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure. They had three children, Marilynn, Sharon, and Robert. Their journey took them through Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri, where they settled in Sedalia and later Warsaw. Her family has many cherished memories of time spent at the lake.

Darlene worked for many years as a surgical technician. She had an endless supply of energy, and was always busy tending to her plants and flowers as well as cooking–including her famous fish gravy. She always had a sewing project going and found joy in feeding the birds and spotting deer in the yard. Her home was always filled with the warmth of family and friends.

Darlene continued to subscribe to the Randolph, Nebraska newspaper and stayed in touch with family and friends from her childhood home.

Darlene was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw. She cherished her church family and found comfort and support there.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, her husband, Norman; and her daughter, Marilynn. She leaves behind her children–Sharon Keele of Sedalia and Robert (Amber) Trautman of Lowell, AR; her grandchildren–Andrea (Jeff) Sumy of Liberty, MO, Meredith (Andrew) Wright of Okinawa, Justin Bremer of Florence, Clay Trautman of Springfield, and Cara Trautman of Bentonville; her great grandchildren–Gunner Sumy, Teagan Sumy, Stryder Sumy, Josie Wright, Christopher Wright, William Wright, Millie Wright, and Paige Bremer; and her great great grandchildren–Kinzlee, Kaydence, and Myles Mallinson.
