Darrell Lee Brown, Sr., age 73, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Versailles. He was born July 11, 1951, in Cole Camp, Missouri, son of the late Roland E. Brown and Dorothy E. (Inman) Brown.
He attended elementary school at Farmer School in Warrensburg, Missouri. Darrell graduated from Benton County R1 in Cole Camp, Missouri.
He met Donna Boatwright in Sedalia, Missouri and they were married on February 4, 1972.
In 1980, he and his family moved to Versailles where he worked as a self-employed drywall finisher from 1972 to 2025.
Darrell was a member of the Landmark Apostolic Church in Osage Beach, Missouri.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his sons, Darrell Lee Brown, Jr. and Daniel Scott Brown and wife Katherine; three grandsons, Jarek Brown, Zachary Brown and Dylan Brown; granddaughter, Paige Brown; step-grandsons, Elijha Lambert and Rhett Lambert; brothers, James Brown, David Brown and Bob Brown; sisters, Janice Brown, Linda Palmer and Connie Siercks and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 10th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Reverend Jeremy Perry officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery in Sedalia. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
