Dorothy JoAnn Brown, 92, of Cole Camp, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, peacefully in her home. She was born on September 5, 1932, in Clinton, Missouri, a daughter of Everett and Dorothy (Wyatt) Parsons.
On February 4, 1951, she was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Brown. They were blessed with four children: Roger, Richard, Marcella, and Dayann.
She is survived by her sons, Roger F. Brown and his wife Nora of Fulton, Mississippi, and Richard H. Brown and his wife Angel of Cole Camp; daughter, Marcella K. Wood and her husband Larry of Cole Camp; grandchildren, Timothy (Shianda), Christopher, Aaron (April), Erica (Ryan), Danny (Michelle), David (Emily), Dwayne (Roni), Derrek (Deanna), Dawnette (Justin), Connor, Austin (Kayana), and Derek; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Dorothy Parsons, husband, Joe Brown, daughter, Dayann Elaine Brown, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carol Parsons, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Wyatt Mellen, and grandson, Joshua C. Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp with Brother Larry Wood officiating. Burial will be in Cole Camp Cemetery near Cole Camp.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
