To everyone from the Fristoe News: We are digging our way out from under the snow that was dropped on the Fristoe area this past week. To show what this has been like, most schools were to return from Christmas break on Tuesday, January 7. My goodness; that did not happen as most were canceled because of bad roads!

Our locals; Warsaw, Climax Springs, Skyline, Hermitage and others did not hold school for the whole week.

Sending prayer requests for Kathy First, Lewis Retherford, Bud Hatch, Gladys Harris, Connie Newkirk, Delores Prater, and everyone in California.

A happy birthday shout-out to Ray Lowry as he celebrates next Sunday, January 19. Also, although he doesn't live around here anymore, the Fristoe Cafe's Chef Richard has a birthday on January 16.

People will be watching the temperatures and weather forecast as it will not be any time till there are seeds of different types put in the ground! Dean has already received seed catalogs from several different companies this last week!

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, as mentioned last week, was not open due to bad roads but was back open and everything normal. However, several attendees were still absent due to back roads still being slick and others are still fighting sicknesses. But, Dave and Connie Cunningham were back to take control of the leading of songs and Claude sang a song although Connie is not up to singing yet.

The adult Sunday School lesson last week and this week was on Jesus and what He went through before, during and at the end of the Lord's crucifixion. The study brought out how we should always remember that Jesus died on that cross for each one of us. The studies were in Matthew chapter 27! Pastor Smith's message was in 11 Samuel chapter 14. The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church: Sunday School 10:00 AM, morning song service and worship and message 11:00 AM, Monday morning prayer meeting 9:00 AM, Wednesday evening Bible study 5:00 PM.

Thought for the week: Those who deserve love the least, need it the most! Think about this; God is like Bayer Aspirin. He works wonders!

Hope everyone who reads the Benton County Enterprise is blessed financially, with good health and lots of love!
