Oh my; what a cold, cold day! But when we got to church this morning, it was warm and cozy. High temperature for Sunday is 16 degrees, and Monday and Tuesday is maybe mid-20's with it finally moving into the 40's by Wednesday That will be moving into third week of January that is cold, cold, cold!

I watched the Presidential Inauguration these past couple of days and hope that our country has a really good 4 years under Mr. Trump.

Prayer requests for Kathy First, Lewis Retherford, Bud Hatch, Delores Prater and Gladys Harris. Connie Newkirk is home from the hospital and doing good.

Sending anniversary wishes to Adam and Bridget Arnett this week as they celebrate their anniversary on Wednesday, January 22. Happy birthday to Jim Jackman next Sunday, January 26, and happy birthday to Jesse Jackman on January 27. Happy anniversary to Randy and Heather Reno on January 27! Everyone have a great week!

I was shopping in G&W last week and was approached by a good friend I hadn't seen for awhile. She said she had tried to get my attention for awhile because she wanted to tell some news she wanted to have me put in the newspaper. She said her granddaughter, Mandy Devine (daughter of Frank and Debbie Troxell) had her third child the evening before. This makes three children for Mandy; 2 girls and 1 boy. Mandy and her husband live in Kansas. Congratulations to them!

We hope the temperature moves a little warmer after this week as local schools have lots of different sports coming in the next few months. They will be finishing up basketball but many more toward spring.

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church had a good crowd Sunday morning even though the temperatures were in the teens. Connie Cunningham lead song service with Bryan and Sue's help. Delores was feeling somewhat better and was able to join Claude on the song "High On That Mountain". Br. Smith's message was from the book of Revelation chapter 2 and about the church of Smyrna.

Thought for the week: Real friends are ones when you make a fool of yourself don't feel it is a permanent job!

Hope everyone who reads the Benton County Enterprise has a week full of love, laughter and financial blessings!
