This week has been really chilly and cold in the Fristoe area, but hopefully it will begin to warm up some in the next few weeks!
I am going to finish the neighborhood story I began last week and will add a little to it. As I said, I was shopping and Elnora Alexander come up to me and asked me to put some news in the Fristoe News. Now Elnora and I worked alot of years together in the Unitog plant and knew each other quite well. Also, her daughter Debbie married my neighbor, Frank Troxell. Now Frank and I had been neighbors and also rode the school bus together although I was several years older, but a few times when the bus became crowded, I would hold Frank on my lap for the last few stops. So you all can read and understand we know each other. Now to finish, Elnora told about Frank and Deb's new granddaughter and just to add I will add that Elnora's husband Tommy Alexander has been gone several years. Debbie and Frank have two children, daughter Mandy and son Chris! That's the story!
Prayer requests for this week are Kathy First, Lewis Retherford, Bud Hatch, Delores Prater, Gladys Harris and several have just been sick with cold and flu! My granddaughter Madalyn has felt bad earlier in the week; Lyla Weaver's, grandson Kaleb, the same age as Maddie, has been sick and others so we all just need to remember and pray for all the schools.
The Fristoe area sends sympathy and prayers to Tammy Dickerson Barnes on the death of her son, Jesse last week. Tammy is a woman who lived her entire life in and around the Fristoe area; the daughter of Phil, and Darlene Dickerson. She is the mother of three boys, one being Jesse and also Jesse's twin, Joshua and Levi. The community holds Tammy up in prayer.
The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church still had a few attendees out of church Sunday morning with sickness etc, but numbers are moving up. Dave and Connie Cunningham led congregational song service along with Bryan, Emily, and Sue. Dave also sang a beautiful special as did Sis. Brenda. Adult Sunday School was from the book of 1st Corinthians chapter 3 in Paul's teaching. Br. Tony preached in the book of Isaiah.
Thought for the week: Remember, kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see, and the heart is happiest when it beats to help others!
We hope everyone who reads the Benton County Enterprise has a wonderful week with lots of great things stopping by!
