The Fristoe area has had nice weather this past week, making a great time for anyone in the area wanting to begin their gardening. Lots of produce coming through the ground. Dean had some potatoes look bad from a morning of really cold weather. Many other people are having produce beginning to come through the ground.
I want to mention that we received word that lifetime Fristoe resident Larry Binney passed away last week. Larry was 65 years old. He married Shirley Mann at an early age and they had a son. Shirley has been dead for quite a few years. Larry has 3 living sisters; Stella, Dixie and Gloria, and a brother Charles.
Prayer requests for this week: Kathy First, Steve Gemes, Gladys Harris, DeAngelo's grandson Duncan, but he is doing better, Dorothy Thomas, Bud Hatch, Delores Prater, and Fristoe News sends prayers to our friend Marvin and Shelley Cline at Climax Springs.
Happy birthday shout outs to LeWayne Williams, and two great young guys have birthdays, Wyett Hilburn on the April 23 and Adam Arnett on the April 24.
Fristoe News wants to tell the neighborhood about the places that have things to be bought from Amish stores. From the VV blacktop to Palmer Road is Elizabeth's Store, and also off VV to Hereford Road is Rockytop Lawn Furniture, then from VV to Angus Road is a well stocked green house and then going back toward Fristoe on AA Highway is Turkey Creek Grocery Store. If you are out driving around, check these places out.
Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church had a wonderful Sunday morning service and was blessesed with visitors, Harold and Bobbie Shull. What a great service. Connie and Dave, along with Sue and Bryan lead song service and Sue and Dave each sang a special. Anyone passing the church, look and see that there are a lot of things happening and you want to keep an eye out. God is blessing!
Thought for the week: Hearts beat happiest when they are beating for friends! Let your light shine before others so your good works may be seen!
Hope all who read the Benton County Enterprise have a safe and prosperous week!
