Harvester's Food Distribution Helps 100 Families

Twenty volunteers from different Windsor churches helped distribute food at the Harvester’s Food Distribution held on November 2, 2024 at the Windsor United Methodist Church.
Marti Carter, local Harvester’s coordinator in Windsor, said volunteers served 100 families for a total of 372 people (183 adults, 133 children, and 66 senior). The truck brought 3,173 pounds of apples, ear corn, lettuce, bagged/chopped broccoli, and packaged mushrooms.
The Harvester’s Food Distribution in Windsor is sponsored by the Windsor Ministerial Alliance and is held the first Saturday of the month beginning after 10:30 a.m. There is a limit of two families per vehicle. Those waiting in vehicles or on foot are requested to please keep driveways and sidewalks clear.
The line up for the next distribution in Windsor on December 7 begins on Tebo St. at Colt St., turns (north) onto Jackson St. and then turns (west) on Commercial St. Check www.harvesters.org for Windsor and other area distribution locations and times.
