Howard T. Mowell, 83, of Warsaw, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove, MO. He was born on July 27, 1941, in Warsaw, the son of Norris Mowell and Doris (Robinson) Mowell, who preceded him in death.

On April 15, 1988, in Warsaw, MO, he was united in marriage to Lucille (Williams) Eye, who resides in the home.

Howard was a proud graduate of Warsaw High School, Class of 1959. Later, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably from 1964 to 1966. Howard worked at Associated Wholesale Grocers for 30 years. Retiring in 1999. After retirement, he worked as a high school crossing guard for Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia. Howard volunteered at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was a member of the Open Bible Church, now Discovery Church, where he was involved in driving the church bus.

Howard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by three children, Carolyn Malaer (Scott), Marvin Eye, and Gary Eye, all of Sedalia; two sisters, Ann Breshears (Voyn) of Lone Jack, MO and Carol Blischke of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Jessica Lowther (Jose) of Smithton and Cory Evans (Chelci) of Florence, MO; four great-grandchildren, Zach Hoecker, Camden Hoecker, Brooklyn Hoecker, and Cass Evans; two nephews and two nieces.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ed Spencer officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Discovery Church in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
