Jerry D. Esser, age 84, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away on September 11, 2024 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by family. He was born on February 23, 1940 in Sedalia, Missouri to Elmer "Red" Esser and Hazel (Williams) Esser.

He grew up in Sedalia, Missouri. On October 13, 1961 he was united in marriage to Stella Binney. They made their first home together in Sedalia, Missouri for a number of years. Then they moved to Cole Camp, Missouri. In 1978 they moved to Warsaw, Missouri. Jerry worked in Sedalia, Missouri for Howard Ready Mix and Rival Manufacturing Company. In 1980 he became the sole proprietor of Esser's Septic Tank Cleaning, the second generation, in Warsaw, Missouri. He retired in 1999 and transferred the business to his son Jackie O. Esser.

He loved spending time with family and friends. When he was younger he loved to race cars. He enjoyed car shows, fishing, restoring old cars, hunting, working in his shop and the outdoors.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his infant son Troy Dean Esser; five brothers; Robert Eugene Esser, Danny Dean Esser, Alvin Esser, Buddy Raymond Esser and Larry Esser.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Esser, of the home, two children; Gerald D. Esser (Eva) of Roscoe, Missouri, Jackie O. Esser (Christina) of Warsaw, Missouri, five grandchildren; Gerald D. Esser Jr (Tiffany) of Eldorado Springs, Missoui, Victoria L. Esser (Zack Nelson) of Warsaw, Missouri, Jackie O. Esser Jr of Savannah, Georgia, Nickie N. Esser and Jeri D. Esser, two sisters; Linda Van Denson (Mike) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Velma L. Bishop of Springfield, Missouri; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Sacred Garden Cemetery in Sedalia, Missouri.
