Jerry Lee Joiner, age 89, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri.
Jerry was born on January 2, 1936, in Crocker, Missouri, where he grew up and graduated from Crocker High School in 1954. On October 28, 1958, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably in Korea until his discharge on February 14, 1962.
On October 26, 1963, Jerry was united in marriage to Dorothy Stegeman. Together, they built a life in the Kansas City area, where Jerry worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1991. Following his retirement, he and Dorothy relocated to Warsaw, where they enjoyed their later years together.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy, four children—Louis Jaegers, Linda Pearce, Larry Jaegers, and Ronald Jaegers—as well as his brother, Bobby Joiner.
He is survived by three children: Sharon Robinson and her husband Brian of Warsaw, Randy Joiner of Warsaw, and Darryl Joiner and his wife Annette of Grain Valley, Missouri. He also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service. Interment with Military Rites will follow at Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.
