Lady Bluebirds Finish Fourth At Kaysinger Tournament

The six seeded Cole Camp girls defeated third seeded Lincoln, 35-27 on Saturday, February 1, in the first round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament. Lincoln was without freshman Lily Mellen, who had 25 points against the Bluebirds earlier in the season.

Cole Camp trailed 13-7 after one and 20-11 at the half. The second half saw the Bluebirds make a comeback to trail 22-21 after three.

LINCOLN (27): A. Mellen, 11; Helland, 8; Strozewski, 4; Arbuckle, 2; Adisyn, 2.

COLE CAMP (35): Ogle, 11; Shoemaker, 4; Thayer, 5; Allison, 2; Moellman, 4; Hesse, 5; Timoschuck, 2.

In the second round, played on Tuesday, February 4, second seed Northwest defeated Cole Camp, 35-24 sending them to the third place game of the event.

In that third place trophy game on Saturday night, Windsor won over the Lady Bluebirds with a 35-28 final.
Cole Camp fell to 4-15 on the season.
