Last Friday, Lincoln honored their 1984 Final Four girls team at halftime at their game with Stover.
The festivities must've motived the Lady Cardinals as they played the 11-1 Stover team close in a 37-32 loss.
It was 11-6 after one but Lincoln closed out the deficit at 15-14 at the half. It was 29-27 after three before Stover outscored Lincoln 8-5 in the final frame.
Lincoln's two-time BCE female Athlete of the Year, Alyssa Mellen, was held to just 2 points while her sister, freshman Lily Mellen had 14.
Lincoln fell to 7-5. Stover has now won 9 in a row to move to 11-1.
