After losing what they believed to be a winnable game at Buffalo last Tuesday, the Ladycats took out all of their frustrations on Green Ridge in a dominating win over the Lady Tigers on Monday night, 61-16.
The defense of Warsaw was suffocating, forcing multiple turnovers early. Those turnovers turned into points on the other end more times than not as the home team took an 18-2 first quarter lead.
Things got out of control in the second quarter as Warsaw kept applying pressure and continued to convert on the offensive end of the floor. A 29-5 advantage in the second made it ugly at the half, 47-7.
With many reserves seeing valuable time on the floor in the second half, a 14-9 margin made up the final 61-16 score.
Tanna Howe led Warsaw with 22 points and Sara Miller knocked down 18. Many of the points from the two Ladycats' guards came came off of forced turnovers and easy layups.
Warsaw, now 10-6, hosted Versailles on Tuesday night in an Ozark Highlands Conference contest and will play in the Osceola Tournament beginning on Monday.
