Larry Allen Binney, age 65, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Larry was born on March 4, 1960, the son of Lee Tolliver and Fay Binney. A lifelong resident of Warsaw, he married Shirley Denise Mann, and together they had one son. Later in life, Larry met his partner of 28 years, Pauline Thompson, and they were blessed with a daughter.
An avid outdoorsman, Larry was well known for his love of turkey hunting and fishing. He spent many years as a celebrity turkey hunting guide, sharing his passion and knowledge with others. He participated in Civil War reenactments as well as enjoyed taxidermy both as employment and as a hobby. Above all, Larry’s greatest joy in life was his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his loving partner, Pauline Thompson of Warsaw; his son, John Wayne Binney and wife Lindsay of Warsaw; his daughters, Shannon Deserea McGaugh and her fiancé Travis Fogg of Osage Beach, and Bambi Dawn Catherine Zaiger Texas; and four grandchildren: Tyler Layne Binney, Katelynn Marie Binney, Kylo Jo-Morgan Fogg, and Raven Reveal. He is also survived by three sisters, Stella Esser of Warsaw, Gloria Hart of Sedalia, and Dixie Woolems of California; one brother, Charles Binney of Washington; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Denise Piggot; and three brothers, Roger Binney, Dean Binney, and Jackie Binney.
Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri.
