Marcos Rueben Gonzalez died unexpectedly on December 22, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 37.
Marcos is survived by his parents, Betty Maday and step-dad Brian Maday of Clinton MO; sons, Marc Gonzalez and Joey Gonzalez of Independence MO; brother, Tony Gonzalez of Clinton MO; grandmother, Ena Gonzalez of Raytown MO; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gonzalez; paternal grandfather, Hector Gonzalez; maternal grandmother, Norma Spriggs; uncles, Henry Gonzalez and William Parmley; and cousins, Miguel Gonzalez and Kyle Hennier.
Marcos was born on May 6, 1987 in Kansas City, MO to Betty L. and Raymond A. Gonzalez. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 2006 obtaining his GED. Marcos worked for various companies but found his niche in pharmaceuticals by becoming a pharmaceutical technician and compounder for SAFC, Aptuit, and Catalant. After moving to Clinton he quickly secured employment with PLZ where he was able to carry with him the basics of compounding.
Marcos adored his sons. Marcos wasn’t a man of many words but was so very pleased of his son’s academic achievements and athletic skills throughout school and looked forward to the fine young men they are becoming.
Marcos was typically humorous and passionate about making others laugh, often indulging in comedy of some sort. His personality was infectious, drawing hundreds of friends and co-workers throughout his life. He was an individual who easily connected with pets. He had a favorite dog, Mia, who he fondly missed.
A Memorial Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., just prior to the mass.
