Summer is definitely here, and our Public Works department is working hard to
keep up with the vegetation that has benefitted from the rains and warm
temperatures. They will be checking for tree limbs or shrubs that are obstructing
the view at intersections and obstructing street or road signs. These plants grow
rapidly during the summer months and present safety concerns, especially at
intersections. Of course, the homeowners are usually vigilant about trimming these
back, but you may see city workers also doing some of the trimming.
The city has hired a full-time police officer named Officer John Snyder who joined
us on July 5, 2025. We have also hired two new reserve officers to provide
coverage for the city. Their names are Officer Don Ebert and Officer Trampus
Jackson. Officer Eric Veach continues to serve as a reserve officer as well. If you
see them, offer them a Cole Camp welcome and thank them for their protection.
If you have been in City Hall recently, you have seen a new face there as well.
Jamie Davis has joined us as a part-time clerk. She has been learning the programs of
the city and is able to answer many of the questions you have. When you call you
may ask either Jamie or Dawn any questions you have.
Stay safe and keep cool!!
