Nina C. Faux, age 85, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Warsaw Health & Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident since 2003. She was born on January 15, 1940 in Wisdom, Missouri the daughter of Woodrow and Alma (Suiter) Crabtree.

Her first years were spent on Grandpa Suiters farm place, but most of Nina’s life was growing up in Kansas City. Being handicapped, her mom knew that was the best place for medical help. Living there also insured they got to go to school. This gave them the opportunity to have as normal of a life as they could.

In 1971 Nina married her sweetheart, Jack Faux, that loved her dearly. He also took very good care of her until his death. While in Kansas City, they enjoyed raising small poodles and sold them for extra income. Their favorite song was “What A Wonderful World” by Louie Armstrong. It was exciting for them to watch their cousin, Norval (Bubba) on TV playing music. Their cousins were their close family.

Nina loved to crochet and paint potholders and doilies; it was hard for her to understand why she couldn’t have her crochet needles in the health center. When her family moved to Warsaw, they lived close to Mom, sister and brothers wanting to be close to aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, two brothers; Dwayne and Denver Crabtree and a sister, Molly Crabtree.

Nina is survived by many cousins, around the Kansas City area and a few in the Warsaw area.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Interment will follow the funeral at the Iconium Cemetery in Iconium, Missouri.
